Forth world guru gobind singh gold cup kabaddi Tournament has been won by team from U.S.A. Mr tirth Gakhal Was adjudged as best catcher (stopper)and Mr KINDA& Mr dhire as best aggressors & riders. S. BILBIR SINGH m.p and patron of n.r.i. sabha PUNJAB inaugurated the function.

First match in this tournament was played between India team and the team from Norway and won by India by 42-31.
Likewise Canada defeated U.k by 36-25. America defeated norway37-31and Germany defeated U.k by38-28 and entered the semifinal.
In the first semifinal America defeated India in a tough contest 48-46 .
in the second semi- final Canada defeated Germany in a very very keen contest by a solitary point both the team were even upto interval(score19-19)final match was played between the team from America and Canada .America team was leading by 26-22 upto half-time in the second half Kinda,pamma,dhira were on a scoring spree and thus the America team won the final by 41-35.

Sh. Avtar henarry cabinet minister PUNJAB. Sr.Bilbir Singh M.P gave away the prizes to the winners and the participants with best performance.
Cash prize of Rs. One lac forth thousand and was given to the America team (first position) and cash prize of Rs. One lac to Canada team who were the runners up in the tournament. Rest of the participating team were also given consolation prizes of Rs. 40 thousand each. Tirth gakhal best stopper and kinda & Dhira best raiders were also given cash prizes of Rs. 5000, ( five thousand) each.
